Many games of this fantastic series scarred us in a good way that we won't forget. I haven't played the old ones but I've played FFX, FFX-2(some of it) and FFXII. I also remember my older brother playing VIII with Squall Leonhart (my favorite character) And Seifer (second favorite) and them. Cloud from VII is currently my 3rd favorite because he's emo. Right now I'm stuck between Sephiroth and Squall. I can't tell who I like more. I'm considering getting FFVII on my PS3 through PSN. But my favorite until then is FFX with Tidus, Yuna and them. Yours? |

XII mainly due to a certain hunt and a little bias seeing as it was the first one I ever played. |

I've always liked FFVIII because I really liked the GF's, the characters and the card games :P It's also the only FF I've played all the way through. I got pretty far on X2, but eventually gave up. |

^ Because then you'd start growing out random wings and degrading. :( But yeah, my favorite is either FFX or the whole FFVII compilation. I can't decide. |

VIII was my first and still the best one I've played next to VII, X, X-2, and XII.

Sarah, my sister is at the final boss but she's level 35 or something. You have to be like level 90 something just to beat it (FFX-2). I loved the story for FFX. It's what made me get into Final Fantasy in the first place. FFVIII Is something I'd love to play. I have the CDs in Jordan but some of them are missing :P And which hunt Poison_Eye (FFXII)? I'm currently on the final hunt of the game. I'm level 87 (everyone) and I can't even beat it. Well I can, but I've put so much effort into it that I've nearly taken out half of it's health. |

Protip for X-2: Catnip + Trigger Happy. As long as I kept Yuna in critical health, i was doing about 200,000 dmg per turn. Even Trema (the optional superboss) was pretty easy. |

I'm like Level 6 at the moment. I haven't touched my PS2 since I got my PS3 at early Feb. But yeah, keeping one of the chicks as gunner is helpful, especially when the attack power they have is amazing. |

IX is my absolute favorite Final Fantasy. The story was great, all the characters had SOME importance (Except maybe Quina), the music is some of my favorite from the entire series. My least favorites have to be VII (Take out everyone but Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, and Sephiroth and you have the exact same game) and XII, which just bored me to no absolute end. XIII is looking pretty damn stunning though, and I'm expecting great things from it. Will it beat my love for IX? Who knows. |

XII's story isn't very engaging, but the Gambit system is awesome. It eliminated the minutia of lame battles. I don't want to spend half the battle curing status effects. The Gambit system let you focus on the important part of fights...the fighting. |

^this. I didn't like the story. It was transparent. But the fighting system was awsome. I even had the best set of gambits, but I can't remember what they were though. But they were close to 100%. Close because you had to pay attention to what was going on. If one beast had protect, they would all use dispellga on it as opposed to one only. That's where you had to control actions. I even had them steal from the enemy if it was asleep. Quick cash. |

Really? While I agree the story wasn't very engaging, I didn't enjoy the battle system either. It tried to play like both a turn based RPG and action RPG at the same time, which does not appeal to me at all. Choose one or the other, not a mish mash of both. |
