[[ OCC: Make sure you make your out of character conversation ( if necessary ) separate somehow ^_^ ]]

Officer Dean Reynolds lightly pressed his foot against the pedal and the patrol car he was driving slowly started to move forward until he eventually started pressing down further. There had been a surprising amount of chatter on the radio today, a lot of reports of attacks that he had all been too far away to respond to, and were picked up by other officers. It's been quiet for fifteen minutes, on the radio and down the road he was going. Glancing from side to side, Dean surveyed his surroundings - on the look out for suspicious activity.

"We have reports of an attack on 3675 Bernard Street-" came through the radio. It didn't take longer than a couple seconds for Dean to remember that he had passed by that street not too long ago. He quickly responded to the report. He pulled into a driveway, and backed out again to turn the car around since he had to backtrack about five minutes. Once he was on the street his eyes began to dart from side to side again, looking for the numbers 3675. Ten or so houses down was the house that had those numbers. He quickly got out of his car and cautiously approached the house. When he reached the door he knocked, rang the door bell and received no response. Calling out to explain he was an officer did not initiate a response from inside the house either.

Dean reached for the handle and was happy to find that the door was unlocked. Just in case, he pulled out his gun, and opened the door. The house was silent until he broke it. "This is officer Dean Reynolds of the Raccoon City Police Depatment. We received a report of an attack..." he called. Still no response. He made his way through a clean, undisturbed dining room and made his way to the kitchen. He quickly rose his gun when he found chairs knocked over, glass broken on the floor, and other kitchen supplies pushed about. He traced the chaos to a trail of blood that led to a broken glass back door. Dean followed the trail outside and along the pavement. He stopped in his tracks suddenly when he saw the end of the trail. "Shit..." he whispered, he'd been too late.

A slim young woman with long blond hair was laying on her side in a pool of blood. She couldn't have been older than twenty five, Dean thought to himself as he approached. The gun was still ready in his hand as he knelt beside her to check for a pulse. No surprise, she was already gone. He stood again and looked around. The backyward was clean, nothing else was disturbed. Behind him he heard the faint sound of glass cracking beneath something, and he quickly whipped around and his eyes widened at the sight. Looking no older than the woman, a man stood in the doorway around the glass. He was pale, messy, flesh was hanging and was full of blood.

"W-what the f*ck?" he cursed aloud and it started to approach. "Don't come any closer," he warned.

[[ OOC: Lol, Leon's opening from RE2? ]]

The restaurant had been near empty all day, which Jennie wasn't really complaining about. The only thing that annoyed her about the day is how few people showed up to work. In fact, the manager on her shift had left and never came back. "Jerks," she exclaimed as she thought about it and cleared the table of the last customer. The only action seemed to be outside as some rally or something was going on, but now it was getting too quiet. What the hell was going on?

After clearing the table, she took the dirty plates to the back, where there was a big stack of plates. Who was going to clean all of them? She sure as hell wasn't. The thought made her roll her eyes. She went to collect her tip, and then she looked up and saw a customer that hadn't been there before. He was just standing there. He didn't look well at all, and he smelled of something awful.

"Can I help you, sir?" she asked.

He looked up and started shuffling towards her. Jennessa backed up a little, but he kept coming toward her. She let out a small scream and picked up the chair next to her to throw at him, but it only made him stumble for a moment. "Get away, you pervert!" She turned and started running for the kitchen, but then another man shuffled out of the kitchen. Scared and shaking uncontrollably, she backed up against a wall, cornered...

[[ OOC: Lol, is it? D: I don't really remember his opening. ]]

A loud noise rang out throughout the quiet neighbourhood, and smoke slowly began to rise from the end of his gun. Slowly, the man who had lunged forward towards Dean fell to his knees, and then with a "thud" fell to the side. Dean kept relatively still, still in shock somewhat because of the recent events. Cautiously, he approached the now still body and lightly nudged it with the end of his shoe. It was unresponsive so he turned him over to examine the wound he had caused and the rest of the body.

The clothes were torn, the skin was bloody and there was a large chunk missing from the side of his neck. Thoughts were racing in his mind but he couldn't grasp any of them. What was happening, how was this happening, so many questions he didn't know the answers too. He began to back away, and made his way back through the house to his patrol call where he radioed back to the station. Worry fell over him when he didn't get a response.

With a mumbled curse, he climbed back into his car and started it up. He had a gut feeling something bad had happened at the station and he wasn't going to wait around to find out. The car quickly sped out of the driveway and in the direction of the normally busy streets where the station and many other stores and such were.

[[ OOC: Not gonna save me? Bish. Just kidding, I planned for you not to... ]]

Just then, Jennie noticed a plywood board in the corner next to her. She quickly grabbed it and took a swing at the "person" closest to her. It stumbled back and fell onto the ground, but the other kept shuffling towards her. She took the board and swung at it the same way. It fell as well, and Jennessa sighed in relief as she walked past the still bodies. But as she passed the closest one to the kitchen door, it suddenly grabbed her leg and opened it's grotesque mouth like it was about to bite her.

Acting on a reflex, she kicked him hard in the chin with the toes of her right shoe. His head snapped back, so she must have broken his neck... Not wanting to take any chances, she took the board and slammed it down hard into the head of the other one. Blood and brains oozed out of the injury, and Jennie backed up silently, leaving her weapon behind. What's with these freaks?

She walked into the kitchen with her breath heavy, and then she suddenly screamed. The chef that had been helping her all day was on the floor, his guts torn out and strung across the floor.

[[ OOC: Lol, too far anyway :r ]]

The car quickly picked up speed when Dean came to a long road as he pressed harder on the pedal. He passed through several reds after quickly glancing both ways at an intersection, he didn't have time to stop and wait - he had to get to the station. Surely some would have held off... those things, Dean thought to himself. He tried the radio again, but there was still no response. After a few minutes and a couple more red lights, he reached the street one block over and sped up even faster after he got a chill up his spine.

Already he could see something that was in the middle of the road, but he couldn't quite make it out yet. As he got closer, the image became more clear. It looked like two people kneeling over another body. Having no other choice, he slammed on the breaks and skid a couple feet. The car stopped inches away from the three on the road. At first, the two who were kneeling paid no attention to him, but soon they realized there was someone behind him and they immediately went to the cars side and started to slam on the window and windshield. "F*ckers..." he muttered under his breath as they continued. He glanced at his gun, "I don't have time for this," he said, and with that put his foot on the pedal and sped away, leaving the things confused for a minute, but went back to feed on the body on the road.

There was a butcher's cleaver in the kitchen sitting upon some of the counter space in the kitchen that Jennie decided to replace the plywood that she had lost with. Part of her wanted to believe she didn't need another weapon because the problem was isolated, but she had a bad feeling. She grabbed her purse from the rack the owner had put up for employees and put the knife in it, so she could run. Something about running with a knife in her hand seemed like a bad idea... Jenessa went out the back door next, which emptied into an alley that she had been down before to get home. It looked safe enough, but she hurried onto the quiet street nearest to her. As she had thought before, it was too quiet, and something was not right.

Dean had already passed several blocks and had tried the radio a few more times, but he had given up and any hope he had left was quickly dying. The speedometer was climbing hire and hire as he ran through reds and neglected to stop at stop signs. No one was out, no one to care. He kept his eyes darting all around him, but was too late to catch sight of a zombie running out right in front of his car. With a quick jerk, he tried to maneuver around it because he couldn't be sure. The sudden change in direction steered him right into a light pole. In an instant he was surrounded by white, the air bag had gone off on impact. He cursed as he pushed it away and when he was able to, he climbed out of the car. He looked over the damage, and groaned.

The crash made him completely forget about the thing he tried to dodge, and wasn't given much of a chance to remember before he was knocked on his side. Clearly, he made a bad judgement call when he decided to swerve; not only did he ruin his car but now he was fighting it. It started to snap at his neck, but he was quick to react and grabbed the back and front of his head with each hand and in a quick, swift motion, it's neck was cracked and he went still. Dean pushed it off, and retrieved his gun that had been knocked out of his hand. "Great, no car..." he muttered, but kept moving toward the Police Station.

[[ OOC: We gonna meet up soon? ]]

The streets were quiet, but Jennie occasionally passed a dead body. Each body had been brutally disfigured and... eaten. She had a funny feeling about it and was glad that she had decided to take the knife with her. Luckily, there were none of those things in her immediate vicinity, but she was almost certain that she would run into one sooner than later. But where was she to go?

Jennie was too far into town to consider walking out of the city, and she couldn't find a car that was unlocked or wasn't wrecked. She thought about going to the hospital, but that was farther away than she was comfortable. Just then, she saw an abandoned police car and was struck with the idea of trying for the police station. It was close enough, and who could help her if not the police?

[[ Yar, just waiting for a good time. Maybe somewhere in the police station? Btw, sorry it took so long. I couldn't decide on how the station should look... whether it should be empty and clean, or w/ bodies and bloody XD ]]

Dean cautiously approached the building, hoping that he'd walk in to see everyone busy at work and there was only a simple problem with communication. At the back of his mind, however; he knew it was more than a communication problem. Before opening the door, he braced himself for the worse but couldn't help wishing for the best and when he looked over the main hall of the station a rush of feelings swept over him. Disappointment. Worry. Anger. Sickness. Guilt. The walls and the floors were splattered with red stains. Random bodies lay spread out on the ground, most seemed to have been tore apart. There were few bodies of fellow officers, but most he didn't recognize.

"Hello!?" he called out, and his voice echoed in the large hall. He started to call out the names of his fellow workers but didn't get a response. He bolted towards another door that leaded to more officers, in search of survivors.

[[ OOC: Sha. ]]

What looked like a side entrance was closer than the main one, so Jennie took that route instead. She also figured it would be safer. However, maybe that wasn't turning out to be true. She passed several "people" that had the same thing wrong with them as the ones she had encountered in the restaurant, but she managed to deal with them with no problem... After all, they were slow and clumsy.

She went through some kind of guard station or storage, then there was a climb up some stairs that let out to the station's rooftop. The scene was grotesque there. Bodies ripped apart in pools of blood, and it looked as though some kind of helicopter had crashed, engulfing a lot of the roof and some of the bodies on fire. Thinking that she better get through the door before the pathway was blocked, Jennie hustled.

"HELLO!?" Dean shouted repeatedly as he walked the familiar halls of the police station. He had heard some rustling, and moving on the second floor but he's still yet to hear an actual response from someone. He was beginning to think that the officers abandoned the building but he wouldn't leave until the whole building was searched. Up ahead and around a corner he heard some movement, but no distinct voices. He sighed and shook his head as the sounds he was hearing became more clear. Dean hugged the hall and glanced around the corner. At the end of the hall he saw two uniformed officers feeding off of another. He recognized all three immediately, and one he had actually had a recent fling with...

Dean's eyes darted to another door when he heard some shuffling behind it, but it sounded more... human. He decided to ignore the feasting officers and went straight for the door as quietly as he could. He slowly opened the door and walked into another empty hall. There was no doubt in his mind that he had heard someone walk past, so he quickly sped up his pace as he moved towards one end of the hall.

[[ Not sure how we should meet up exactly, lol XD ]]

Was it her mind playing tricks on her? Jennie heard footsteps behind her, and every time she sped up, they sped up. Someone was definitely following her, and she wasn't sure if she should stop and see who it was or keep moving. It didn't sound like those other things, but she felt like she couldn't rule out anything. Still, she was getting tired of running away from what could be someone that could her.

After the next corner, she turned around and waited for the stranger to round the corner. There was a considerable distance between her and the corner, and she kept her hand on her purse, where the knife was.

Dean crept closer and closer to the corner, and stood up against the wall when he reached it and waited for a moment to listen to his surroundings. It seemed to have fallen silent again. With a deep breath, he finally made himself visible to the person who he had been following. Instincts forced him to raise his gun as soon as he saw the girl, though he couldn't be sure if she was one of them... He quickly glanced over her, and pointed his gun slightly lower and in a different direction when he came to the conclusion that she wasn't one of them.

He opened his mouth to speak but wasn't sure what to say. Where did she come from? Had she seen anyone else? Did she know what was going on? Is she alright? Is she armed? He considered the questions that were running through his mind and went with the most important. "Have you seen anyone else? Any other officers?" he asked desperately, hoping there were some fellow officers still alive in this damn place. Dean stepped closer, "A-Are you alright?" he added, just in case she was wounded and it wasn't visible.

Someone stepped out from around the corner and into Jennie's sight. He was pointing a gun at her, but after getting a better look at her, he pointed it away. She decided to let it go as he appeared to be a cop. "Have you seen anyone else? Any other officers?" the cop asked desperately. "No one alive," she replied. That was assuming that those things weren't alive. "A-Are you alright?" he added next. "All right?" she asked like the cop was speaking another language. "Define that..." Jennie tried to force a giggle, but it came out awkward.

Dean thought about for a moment, "Umm... any injuries? Cuts? Broken Bones?" he said, and continued to approach her until there was only a small gap between them. He glanced around at his surroundings and recognized several names that were printed across the doors that lined this hallway. So far this hallway had been the cleanest he'd seen; no blood on the floors or walls, no doors scratched at, and none broken in or left wide open with a scene of death inside.
